you can plan to bring a few people and get to know some fellow crafters from the area.
during this 2-hour craft party, you will be able to make a set of original tea towels.
all supplies will be included- as well as food and beverages!- for you to embroider, free motion stitch, applique and more.
these will make a great gift, or look good in your own kitchen!

in this 2.5 hour holiday workshop, you will be making a half apron, and tea towel set. all materials are included, and you will have the opportunity to personalize these cute gifts with applique, embroidery, and more!
you can choose from our selection of 100% cotton prints and solids for your half apron and from our selection of cotton toweling for the tea towel.

new books!
we participated in this years WAG-O-WEEN fundraiser event and it was so fantastic! all these handsome and beautiful little ones came out with their mums and dads to grab up some treats, hugs and at our shop a new bandana! this handsome boy in the second photo with his beautiful lions mane came out with his foster mum hoping to find a forever home. (hes being fostered through the Humane Society in Savannah.) thanks to our friends and favorite vet Dr. Deanna Douglas from Berwick Animal Hospital for giving us some gift certificates to hand out to all the trick or treaters!
we just cant wait till next year!
the tailor’s ham is a great tool to use for all sorts of sewing projects!
it is designed to help press out creases in curved areas. for example, if you’ve just sewn a dart and are having a hard time pressing it without wrinkling other areas, you can spread that curved area out on the ham and then press.
i’ve found that this tool is especially useful when i’ve got a bust dart and a waist dart in the bodice that i’m sewing. these 2 darts create a more formed bust area, but it is nearly impossible to press these darts out without a ham.

and your finished product: a shaped bodice that could not be accomplished by ironing on a flat surface.
the tailor’s ham could also be used for pressing out curved areas in just about anything! from darts and hip curves in garment construction, to the curved edges of a bag or craft you’re working on…the possibilities are endless!
the featured tool is the water soluble fabric marker!
this is an extremely useful tool for marking patterns, hem lines, alterations, where to put buttons…or for any fabric marking need! unlike chalk and awls, this marker disappears completely and works on virtually all fabrics.
start by testing the marker on a small piece of the fabric you’ll be working it. just draw on the fabric like you would with any marker.
then, take a damp paper towel, spray bottle, *or the moist tip on the opposite end of the marker*, and damp where you’ve drawn.
just wait for the water to dry, and ta da! no remaining mark.

Our evening classes which are two 3 1/2 hour classes held on the first Monday and Tuesday of very month from 5:30 – 9pm. Or our weekend class which is two 4 hour classes held on the first two Saturdays of every month.
